Red Engine Expands Flight Club to Ireland and Portugal in New Franchise Partnership

Red Engine, the innovative team behind the popular social entertainment concepts Flight Club Darts and Electric Shuffle, has announced an exciting new expansion.

Known for transforming traditional games into social experiences, Red Engine continues to grow its global presence through strategic partnerships and creative ventures.

New Franchise Agreement

Red Engine has signed a franchise agreement with Loyola Group, a prominent operator of multiple hospitality establishments across Ireland and Portugal.

This partnership, supported by Irish entrepreneur Barry McGrath, marks a significant step in introducing Flight Club to new regions. The first Flight Club location in Ireland is slated to open at the end of 2024 or early 2025 on Dublin’s Dawson Street.

Loyola Group is also exploring future sites across both Ireland and Portugal.

Leadership Insights

Steve Moore, chief executive and co-founder of Red Engine, expressed his enthusiasm about the new partnership: “We are delighted to be partnering with such an exceptional team, with proven success across Ireland and Portugal.

This partnership has been five years in the making, as we have worked together to find the perfect location to introduce Flight Club to the people of Ireland. We are so excited to see all this work come to fruition when Flight Club opens in Dublin later this year.”

Loyola Group’s Perspective

Stephen Cooney, director and co-founder of Loyola Group, shared his excitement: “We are thrilled to be opening the first Flight Club in Dublin later this year. We met Steve [Moore] and Paul [Barham], founders of Flight Club, some five years ago.

During this time, we have watched Flight Club grow into one of the biggest and most exciting social entertainment businesses worldwide. We have worked patiently to find the perfect location for Ireland’s first Flight Club.

Dawson Street is a fitting address for Flight Club and together with the Red Engine team we will deliver a unique and thrilling venue that Dublin has been waiting for.”

Global Expansion and Financial Backing

The new Dublin venue will bring the total number of Flight Club sites across the globe to 27. In addition to this, Red Engine has recently secured a £60 million facility from Santander, HSBC, and Barclays to support its global expansion plans.

By the end of 2024, Red Engine and its partners’ estate, including Flight Club and Electric Shuffle, will reach a total of 34 venues.

Continued Growth

Loyola Group is the third franchise partner for Red Engine. State of Play Hospitality manages Flight Club venues in North America, while NightOwl Entertainment operates locations in Australia.

This growing network highlights Red Engine’s commitment to spreading joy and creating memorable social experiences worldwide.
